2009 awarded a Certificate of Excellence, Palm Art Award, Germany.  2007 Japan International Cultural Exchange Foundation Scholarship and participated in Open Art in Rueil-Malmaison & Villepinte, France.  1988 artist in residence scholarship from Ateliehaus Worpswede, Germany.  1984 Artist in residence in Naganuma, Hokkaido, Japan.    

I live in Hokkaido, Japan.  I often travel in Japan or overseas and paint on the spot trying to capture the color and the atmosphere of the place I visit.  And of course people are very important to me.  

Because I always get stimulated by the people I meet.  They even influence on my art.
